Gender equality in Australia under review by UN Committee

Recently the United Nations Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination Against Women reviewed Australia’s record on women’s rights. Over on BroadAgenda, Susan Hutchinson and Hannah Gissane provide an overview of the topics with a domestic focus, including health, domestic violence, economic security, and homelessness.  These reviews are the primary mechanism for the international community to investigate the implementation of the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW).
